Align Gymnastics Class Information

Fall Session 1 Dates: 8/4/25-9/13/25

Hi Parents!

Welcome to Align Gymnastics! We are so excited to have your gymnast join us. Please read the following information regarding class details.

· Class location: All classes will be held at Tucker Recreation Center, 4898 Lavista Rd. Tucker, Ga 30084.

· Tucker Rec Membership: All participants must have a Tucker Recreation membership card to participate in Align Gymnastics classes. These memberships are free and can be registered for at the front desk entry of Tucker Rec Center.

· Make-Up Classes:

• We offer make-up classes as a courtesy to our families; however, please note the following guidelines to ensure fairness and availability for all students:

  General Guidelines

  · Make-up classes are unlimited but not guaranteed. Classes will NOT go over ratio to accommodate a make-up. Availability is dependent on class space and must follow the guidelines below.

  • Absences must be marked in the Parent Portal to be eligible to schedule a make-up class. If your child's absence is not marked in the system at the time of the class, the absence will be marked as "not eligible for make-up." Parents must email aligngymnastics@gmail.com within 24 hours after the time of the class to be marked eligible for make-up.

    *Align Gymnastics is one of the few programs in the area that allows make-ups, and we do so because we want you to get what you are paying for. In return, we ask for communication regarding absences to allow others to schedule make-ups as well.*

  • Absences scheduled through the Parent Portal will be given a window of 6 months to make-up. Make-ups expire at six months, no exceptions. Absences must be marked in the Portal to ensure your make-up class is honored.

  • Make-up classes must be scheduled in a class that matches your child’s age group to ensure proper placement and instruction. (e.g., If your child is 4, they may schedule a make up in either Mighty Minis or Junior Gymnast). If you have any issues scheduling, please reach out.

  • If, for whatever reason, we have to cancel a class, we provide the following options:

    • Make-up class

    • Account credit

    • Refund

    Scheduling an Absence

    · Absences must be submitted through the Parent Portal as soon as you are aware your child will miss a class.

    · Early notice allows other families to utilize that open spot for their own make-ups, so timely submissions are appreciated.

    · We understand that things come up last minute—especially when it comes to illness. If that happens, just let us know as soon as you can so we can adjust accordingly and open the spot for another student.

Other Important Reminders:

◼ Bathrooms:

• Bathrooms are located across the hall from the gymnastics room.

• As the class cannot be left unsupervised, gymnasts will not be accompanied to the bathroom.

• Please make sure your gymnast can take on and off their gymnastics leotard/clothing independently if you will not be staying. For little ones still potty training, we recommend pull-ups.

• Please make every effort to make sure they use the restroom before coming to class.

◼We know everyone wants to watch their gymnast! Unfortunately, due to space, (with the exception of Flip With Me!) only gymnasts will be allowed in the gymnastics room. We also ask that you keep the doorway clear. Parents are not required to stay, but for those who do, there is a parent’s lounge down the hall.

◼ Please bring a labeled water bottle to class.

◼ Long hair must be pulled back in a way that it is out of the eyes, as well as not getting stuck under the hands when doing rolls

◼ Jewelry – no rings, necklaces, or long earrings

◼ Please wear appropriate clothing – athletic wear (not too loose) or gymnastics suit; no zippers or snaps. Clean bare feet. Please no skirts/tutus as they get in the way of some skills. If your child's clothing goes over their face when they go upside down, it's too loose!

◼ No gum

◼ If your child is sick, please keep them at home! Our no-charge make-up policy is designed to not penalize kids needing a sick day- lets keep everyone healthy!
